Let me get started with one of my favorite topics, which naturally is a favorite topic for everyone who has lived in India. And the topic is …….Sports, for most of us staying in India, Sports co-relates to just one word and that is CRICKET.

Sports elsewhere does mean a lot of things and people can relate to sports in various other forms like Football, Tennis, Volleyball, Baseball, Rugby, Golf and many more. Sports for some is an activity a person engages in for amusement and relaxation, but that is not the case always as it tends to get intense because of the competitiveness to win and excel in it.

There may be many in this secular country, but it is said that cricket unites Indians better than any religion can ever do. Cricket is like religion for people in India. They follow it passionately and are way more connected to it than any other political or economical affair affects them.

Tall, short, fat, thin, slow, fast… anyone can be good at cricket. Its like be it in any part of the country, the odds of you running into a group of children or adults playing cricket on the streets are much higher than you speaking their language.
